It is now widely accepted that all sectors of education will operate in increasingly regulated environments.
This section provides an initial account of quality regulations affecting the operation of tertiary-level online distance education in China. It interweaves relevant policies and regulatory frameworks to the extent they were made visible through the eChina-UK project investigations. It attempts to position the issues of quality in relation to elearning in their wider context.
