A sketch of education in China
This section of the site comprises two elements.
First, we present an outline "map" of the components of the Chinese educational system. This is incomplete but should cover the core institutional and practice distinctions necessary for appreciating this system at an introductory level. Click on boxes in this map to be taken to a page giving further information about the selected item
Second, we present a modest and selective bibliography. It covers matters raised elsewhere in this site. In particular, debates regarding the disposition of the Chinese learner, the development of online learning and matters of regulation within new educational formats.
